Rainstorm Hunters
One of my favorite things to do with my son is pull up the weather map and search out a rainstorm. It's like a treasure map to us. Every once in a while we'll find, to our delight, a large brick of rain moving slowly over a local state park. We grab a few items and head out for several hours on the trails.
The forest is thick enough to block straight line drops yet decant enough to wet everything down and allow the smell of life that seems to hide in the dry summer heat.
I'm not superstitious but when people wish for the rain to stop, I always feel that they are sort of wanting the enemy through the gate. I remind them that when the rain stops it will be a hundred degrees with 99% humidity and then they'll be wishing for the rain they hoped would stop.
There is nothing better than being in the middle of a rainstorm. For me rainy days and Monday shouldn't be used to describe the same feeling.
Thanks for the chance to share the experience of the love of rain. It's never for sale and always free because it is a gift, be thankful!

Cozy Rainy Days
I am so glad to unite with other people who love rain!
I remember as a young girl just wanting to sit and watch the raindrops hit the window and slowly find a path to the bottom. The feeling comforted me then and it still does today.
It wasn't until I became an adult and learned about the negative ions in the air when it rains. I came to realize that it's not just that I love the sound of the rain, but that I really do feel better when it rains.
I love how the air smells during and after the rain and especially love a cold rain in autumn.
It makes me get started making soup and bread. And, as a Mom, I always loved these days because it meant that my children would have to be inside with me. There is nothing better than all of us being together to read and talk and listen to the rain.
After a rainstorm, when the sun emerges, I'm saddened by the bright, blaring, unrelenting invasion of the sun.

Missing the Rain
I was just really missing rainy days so I searched the web and found the Rainlovers site.
I was just captivated with the beautiful sound of rain and thunder!!! I love rain soooooooo much that I even wanted to save the sound of rain on my phone.
This site is GR8! Mostly because of the love it has for rain and the beautiful sound that rain makes.

Loves the Rain
It's so nice to see there are other people like me who love the rain. I seem to be the opposite of most people I know. Warm, hot, sunny days make me sad and depressed, tired, drained, gives me a headache and zaps my energy.
Overcast, rainy days make be feel happy, excited, energized and I want to be outside with my umbrella.
I love the rain!!! I wish I lived where it rained more. I hate being here in Southern California.
