Childhood Rain Memories in London
My love of rain has been passed down from my mum in London, UK and when she was a young girl. She would use the outhouse in her back garden and sit in the little shack listening to the rain tip tapping on the tin roof. She felt a sense of peace with the love of rain engrained in her soul. She wanted her children to share the same feelings about the rain and made us makeshift tents. We would cocoon up and listen to the rain pitter patter. When we got older, we would head to the garden shed where we would cuddle in blankets.
There was a comfort that would cover us like magic, the natural melody, the combination of the rain pitter patting around us. The shivery feeling induced by thinking about the cold drops on our skin and the warm feeling being covered by a blanket. To this day it can put me a hypnotic state.
As you can tell,I am truly a RainLover!

Sunny Days Depress Me
I'm glad to finally find a site that validates that some people are depressed on sunny days. I can tell you, that is me!
As a teenager I started to notice that I was happier on cloudy, RainyDays. I love the fall and the darkness. To me, I think my reason for enjoying rainy, cloudy days, early darkness and chill, is because all those elements make me feel like there is something in the air. I feel protected when it rains.
Spring and summer make me feel empty with the hot weather.

What do you love about the rain?
I love how the rain feels on my face.
In fact, I purposely go out when it is raining to experience this. It's very soothing and refreshing.
Splashing in puddles is something I have always loved to do. Even though I'm no longer a kid, I'm a kid at heart and can't resist a good puddle.
What do you love about the rain?
